Sunday closes in on Manchester United ; No fit strikers?

Manchester United’s tour came to an end against a rather testing Rayo Vallecano side with former Manchester United man; Radamel Falcao in the frontline for the Spanish outlet.

As the Premier League returns, Manchester United face on a strong Graham Potter’s Brighton without a fit striker as news came on earlier today of Anthony Martial’s hamstring injury leaving Manchester United with no available fit striker and also considering the saga surrounding “Ronaldo”.

The recently concluded tour, which apparently bonded the players together with the new coach and his back room staffs had it’s ups and downs. New players were tested in different positions but the main role that caught the fans eyes was the “No 9” position that was occupied by French forward Anthony Martial who returned from a disappointing loan spell at Sevilla; Martial reminded us of his early days at the club, as he registered 3 goals in 5 matches and gained the trust of Erik Ten Hag.

In an interview released yesterday; Erik Ten Hag said on when asked if Cristiano Ronaldo fits in at Man Utd. “I think he can, it starts with he has to get fit, he just started , he is a fantastic footballer and he has proved it a lot of times.” He also added “You will always be judged on what you’re presenting now, performing now, so the team and Cristiano Ronaldo has to prove that they can play under (him) at Man Utd.” Cristiano Ronaldo has only featured once for The Red Devils so far this pre season, in a 45 minute spell against Rayo Vallecano.

So it remains what the coach has in offer for Sunday’s match and how he lines out men out for the first match of the campaign according to the fitness level of every available person at the most demanding level.
